Pure Cotton Kink in a Funny Place

A vanishing Cotton tensor, which ensures that the gravitational, 3-dinmensional Chern-Simons term is stationary, leads, after a Kaluza-Klein dimensional reduction, to kink solutions. The effective theory is a new type of dilaton gravity.
